Meet Kirk Thomas

Kirk E. Thomas is Chief Administrative Officer for Geisinger Western Region which includes Mifflin, Juniata, Centre, Huntingdon and Clinton Counties, as well as Geisinger Lewistown Hospital and Gray’s Woods.

Kirk started at Lewistown Hospital as a staff respiratory therapist in 1986 and progressed into various management roles. After serving as Interim Vice President at Family Health Associates in 2007, he returned to the hospital and served as Vice President for Clinical Operations at GLH since 2013. He assumed the administrative leadership role at GLH on October 1, 2016.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy at York College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at Independence University in 2007.  He and his wife, Nanette, live in the Orbisonia area and have two children, Cassandra Clark and Ben Thomas.

Meet Tom Torquato

Tom Torquato is an attorney at Torquato Law Offices located in Lewistown. Tom has been a local attorney for 46 years. He is also a veteran who served in the army for 4 years as a JAG officer and served an additional 4 years in Korea. 

He and his beautiful wife, Nora live in Reedsville and have 4 wonderful children, 11 beautiful grandchildren and 2 lovely great-grandchildren. In Tom's free time, he enjoys dancing with his his wife. Together they have been dancing for more than 55 years. 

Meet John Hershey

John Hershey is a representative for the 82nd district. He is a lifelong Mifflintown resident who graduated from Juniata High School and Messiah College with magna cum laude honors. John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in economics and politics (international relations concentration).  

After graduation, John worked for a microfinance nonprofit for family farmers in East Africa as an administrator and fundraiser, where he assisted in doubling their loan portfolio. To financially support the mission, he co-founded a coffee subscription service that is still in existence today. Later, he served as a legislative assistant to Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA) in Washington, D.C.

John loves Philadelphia sports and enjoys reading books on history and former political leaders. For the past nine years, John has volunteered for Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership. John is an animal lover and has two labs, Maggie and Mollie and many 4-H animals. 

Meet Nate Mark

Nate Mark lives in Lewistown and is a habilitation aide for Compass Community Connections.  He assists individuals with intellectual disabilities by enabling them to access and engage with their community.  He recently passed the AAPC’s (Certified Professional Coder Examination) and hopes to pursue employment in the medical coding field. 

Nate is an avid bicyclist and passionate about general fitness. He stays in shape hoping that one day Wonder Woman will need a sidekick. Nate is a cat lover and currently has 3 cats, Brick, Farley and Powder.

Meet William Campbell

Born and raised in Lewistown, William Campbell spent most of his childhood involved in many activities in Mifflin County. William is an Eagle Scout from Troop 4, was heavily involved in 4-H Shooting Sports and ran track and cross country. William graduated from Lewistown High School in 2006 and Juniata College in 2010 with a degree in Finance and Communication. 

William's first job out of college was as a credit analyst for Kish Bank eventually transitioning to the Juniata Valley Bank as a commercial lender where he has been for 8 years lending to small and medium sized businesses. 

William served on various non-profit boards including the Lewistown Country Club and the Mifflin-Juniata Friends of the NRA. He also served one term on the Pennsylvania  Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Board in Harrisburg and is active with the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce and serve on their Leadership Institute advisory board. 

Meet Caleb Fetter

Caleb Fetter
is the co-owner of Lewistown Printworks which is located on West Market Street in Downtown Lewistown. He graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with a degree in graphic design and print communication. 

Caleb is a transplant from Lancaster County and moved to the Mifflin County area three years ago with his wife and business partner, Michelle, and their four year old son, Jude. 

Caleb is a board participant for the Lewistown Area Community Garden and a participant of Lewistown First Friday. He enjoys hiking, fishing, playing music, and spending time with his family and friends. 
Meet Terry Foster

Terry Foster is the President/CEO at MCS Bank. He joined MCS Bank in 1996. Previously served as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers. During his service to the Association, he testified before the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection.Terry is active in the community as he is involved with Downtown Lewistown, Inc., Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce and MCIDC.   

Terry was raised in Belleville and graduated from Indian Valley High School.  He is an Alumnus of the Pennsylvania State University, having earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting. Terry, and his wife Dawn, have five children, Hannah, Rylan, Maya, Erin and Griffin. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, running and hiking. Terry has a love for the outdoors any time of the year. He aspires to through-hike the Appalachian Trail. 

Meet Marie Mulvihill

Marie Mulvihill is a Regional Director with Primary Health Network, the health center at the new multi-service center at the Burnham exchange. Her past vocations include 15 years with the Radiology department at Lewistown Hospital, now Geisinger Lewistown Hospital and another committed run as Executive Director for the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata.  

She lives in Lewistown and is an avid skier, hiker, and mountain biker. She enjoys the outdoors and assures people wherever she goes - that Pennsylvania, especially Central Pennsylvania, is one of the most beautiful places in the country.

Meet Deb Bargo

Deborah A. Bargo is a graduate from Lewistown High School and Atlantic Airline School in Hartford, Connecticut. Deborah married her high school sweatheart, Barry and is blessed with two wonderful children, Bo and Beth, as well as four beautiful grandchildren Rachel, Brandon, Nathan, and Breanne. 

Deborah began her career as a private secretary in the Navy Department in Washington D.C. Following her career with the U.S government, she was employed for at least twenty years at Bell Atlantic, now known as Verizon Communications. Joining the Lewistown borough Council in 2001, Deborah has now been serving as the Mayor of Lewistown since 2008. 

Deborah is very involved in the community and loves to stay active. Deborah enjoys spending time with her family and creating wreaths to fit every season.  

Meet Sayda Diaz

Sayda Diaz attended Central Penn College, with a focus in Business Administration. From 2006 to 2017, she pursued her career in Human Resources and worked in the corporate sector, as her joy has always been in working with people and creating innovative ways to impact their life in a positive way. In 2012, she became the owner of Guante Family Restaurant, and began a journey as a small business owner in Juniata County, introducing her love of the Latino culture and cuisine. 

She is the proud mother of three small children Ricardo 11, Alejandro 9, and Genesis 7, who love to join their mother on their travels around the world, indulging in their love of food, culture and diversity. When they aren't traveling, they are a family who loves sports and spend a lot of time in local community sport activities as a family.  

Currently, Sayda is on the Board of the Delauter Youth Center in Mifflintown and Manages the Mifflintown Farmers Market, in conjunction with the newly started Mifflintown Fall Fest in Mifflintown. Bringing light to our local community is what inspires her, and creating a place full of community love is what drives her in supporting the local initiatives.

Meet Sherri Heller

Sherri Heller was born and raised in Reedsville and resides locally with her husband, Tom and three beautiful daughters. Sherri has been selling real estate for 18 years and has spent most of her real estate career selling properties for Gold Key Real Estate. 

Sherri is an outgoing person who enjoys singing, dancing, exercise and theater. She loves interacting with people and attending social events. Sherri is also an animal lover and has a jack russel/chihuahua mix named Cricket and two cats, Charlie and Stryper. 

Meet Christina Mazur

Christina Calkins-Mazur is Dealer Principle for Calkins Buick GMC Subaru in Burnham and has been since 2009. Christina was born in Ashland, Oregon and moved to Pennsylvania in 1978.  

Currently, Christina lives in Lewistown with her husband of 18 years, Mark Mazur and their children, Landon (age 11) and Ashland (age 9). Christina graduated from St. Francis University with a baccalaureate degree in Business Management and had the honor of working with her father full-time after completing her education. 

Christina is a service-oriented professional having served on various boards of directors and committees such as the Juniata River Valley Chamber, United Way and Walnut Springs Racquet Club. Christina is currently serving as Vice President of Sacred Heart School Board, President of the Mifflin County Industrial Development Authority (MCIDA) and has been active member of Rotary International since 2001.

Meet Venus Shade

Venus Shade was born and raised in Lewistown. She currently resides in Lewistown with her husband, Chris and son, Benjamin. 

Venus earned a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University and has taught criminal justice for the past 10 years at the South Hill's School of Business and Technology Lewistown Campus. 

Venus is actively involved in the community as she serves her second year as a member of  the Lewistown Borough Council. She is also the chair of Mifflin County Kid Connection. 

Meet Patty Zannino

Patty Zannino
will be celebrating her 34th wedding anniversary on March 22nd with her wonderful husband, Mike. Together they have four wonderful children and fifteen beautiful grandchildren. 

Patty is a MARY KAY Independent Senior Sales Director and has enjoyed building her business since 1987. Patty is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and teaches Aqua Zumba at our local YMCA. In addition, she has volunteered for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Pink Connection, a local breast cancer support group.

In her spare time, Patty enjoys spending time with her family, learning new things, painting, acting and of course, dancing!
