Contributions to the United Way go far—but not far away
  • The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata has been helping meet needs since 1935.
  • The United Way brings together volunteers, corporate and foundation sponsors and an understanding of how to coordinate local resources.

Impact Areas
Successful children and youth: Providing programs that strengthen children and families by providing opportunities and resources in atmospheres that are drug-free, supervised, and educationally, while providing valuable learning tools and life skills.
Basic Needs and Self-Sufficiency: Aiding people with resources to meet basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing and utilities that allow them to move towards self-sufficiency.
Community Life and Health: Providing children, adults, families, and seniors with education, awareness, and recreation opportunities to improve daily life.
 
Education: Supporting youth and adults by providing resources that promote life-long learning.
