As we see the uptick in cases in the community, the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata are joining forces to host a public health forum, Community Talk, to provide updates on our region’s COVID-19 responses and concerns. The Chamber and United Way will be joined by frontline nurses who are working with COVID patients, local leadership from Geisinger, and area business leaders.
Community Talk will be held virtually on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The public can join the event by visiting www.jrvchamber.com/forum.
Following the information session, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.
Rhonda Moore, Executive Director of the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce said, “I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to our local healthcare providers who have worked tirelessly and done an excellent job caring for the residents in our community. We all owe a debt of gratitude to these doctors, nurses, EMTS, and all front-line workers who have selflessly placed themselves and their loved ones in harm’s way. They have seen and experienced things they will carry with them the rest of their lives. My hope is that we can all work together to stop the surging numbers by making the tough sacrifices needed such as practicing social distancing, even during the upcoming holiday season, mask wearing, and hand washing. These simple practices can make a significant impact in assisting our health-care workers so they can more effectively manage care.”
All Concerned community members are encouraged to join this important public forum. For more information contact the Chamber office at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 717-248-6713.
