The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata helps children and youth achieve their potential through education by providing resources that promote life-long learning.
Our Focus
The Community Education Program provides a weekly after-school program that reinforces mannerly behavior, encourages curiosity, promotes lifetime learning and educates through experience while strengthening a connection to their local community.
The Camper Sponsorship Program provides financial assistance for local youth to attend a structured week of summer camp in Easter Waterford, PA. The summer camp program is designed to help young people build confidence, develop friendships and experience positive mentorship in a supportive outdoor environment.
Connecting With Kids is a multitude of children and youth programs, which include: LUMINA Center Afterschool Program, Act 80 Day Events, Rainbow Summer, LUMINA Little Ones, Power Pack Program, SONshine Club, Planting Seeds Club.
The Children's Programming promotes early literacy skills in children through the summer reading program and year round story time.
The Positive Youth Development program helps young men and women develop into service oriented, law abiding and productive adults.
Raising Readers provides six early literacy programs for children from birth to age 5.
The Summer Day Camp is an all-day summer camp for children in grades K-5 and is filled with arts and crafts, science and nature, guest speakers, water play, music, athletic activities, educational field trips and much more
